Workshop for knowledge exchange with members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in Seoul, Republic of Korea (South Korea)

Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Seoul, Republic of Korea (South Korea), Mr. Chirawat Maneechote, Deputy Governor of Songkhla Province, along with the working group, including Mr. Chatphet Kru-ampo, Deputy Chairman of Songkhla Provincial Administrative Organization Ms. Phopphon Thongkhanarak, Director of the Urban Planning Division, Ms. Saranta Supattanakun, Director of the Tourism and Sports Division, Mr. Sathienpong Kaewphet, Director of the Strategy and Information Group for Provincial Development, Songkhla Provincial Office Mr. Prasert Kunteprom, Expert Policy and Plan Analyst, Songkhla Provincial Tourism and Sports Office, Mrs. Nittaya Maneechoti, Expert Cultural Specialist, Songkhla Provincial Cultural Office and Dr. Charoen Suwanchat, representative from the Faculty of Architecture, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya and Chiang Mai University as project consultants The project met with Mr. Han Deok Soo, Chairman of the UNESCO Creative Cities Committee, to exchange knowledge on driving the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. In terms of food, we will discuss issues related to being a creative city network and promoting cooperation between cities to drive development in various dimensions. And at 1:00 p.m., the working group visited the National Folk Museum of Korea, which houses exhibitions on Korean folk art and culture and historical artifacts used in daily life. Including agricultural knowledge and cultural beliefs of the Korean people in the past and meeting with Dr. Sang-hoon Jang, Director of the Museum. To exchange knowledge on culture, food and ways to conserve cultural heritage through exhibitions to present local identity in a creative and modern format.
